What Would the Messiah Do?

During President Ahmadinejad’s recent visit to New York, a journalist asked him whether he thought initiating a war would hasten the coming of the Messiah, or, in Shi’ite terms, hasten the return of the Hidden Imam. He seemed genuinely puzzled, observing that the Hidden Imam, whose return he does ardently hope for, is associated with peace, not with war.
